Game Face wasn't created in a boardroom. It came from a lifetime spent outside.
Built by an Olympian. Made for everyone.
Heather Garriock spent years training and competing outside as a Matilda and an Olympian, surrounded by athletes and families who lived in the sun.
Most sunscreens stung her eyes and felt greasy, so for much of her playing career she went without, and her skin paid for it. With a family history of skin cancer and three kids of her own, that wasn't something she wanted to pass on.
Then there was Noa, her middle child, whose sensitive skin couldn't handle traditional sunscreens. Heather tried everything. When nothing worked, she made it herself.
That's how Game Face began.
A personal reminder about prevention
Skin cancer isn't always easy to see.
In September 2025, sun protection became even more personal for Heather. After a lifetime outdoors as a professional footballer, Olympian, coach and mum, she had a basal cell carcinoma (BCC) removed from her hairline.
Hidden in her hair, it had gone unnoticed for years. It was a powerful reminder that prevention and regular skin checks both matter.
It also reinforced why Game Face exists: to make sun protection a simple part of everyday life for athletes, kids, families and everyone who loves being outside.
